MARCH BOOK CLUB:
GOOD FOR HER!
For this month’s Spilt Book Club theme, we’re celebrating women’s empowerment. And by empowerment, we mean barbarous revenge.
Coined by Lucille Bluth in Arrested Development, ‘Good For Her’ is a sub-genre of horror where female protagonists exact revenge on their oppressors, often in a gory showdown (think prom scene in Carrie). Horror not your thing? There’s plenty of ways for women to flourish in the face of their detractors, such as breaking societal or gender norms, becoming wildly successful, learning how to say no, or signing their enemies up for every email newsletter in town.
The format is super casual and how you interpret the theme is up to you. No sign-up necessary, just drop in as you’re available!
Wednesday, March 25th, 7:30 - 9:30 PM
SPILT is here to spill its secrets!
Education is at the centre of SPILT, and a major part of our offerings include both public and private mocktail classes. When you're not limited by booze, the world of ingredients and flavours is endless.
Taking a culinary-forward approach to mixology, SPILT delights in showing thirsty patrons how to craft deliciously complex flavours with seasonal ingredients and what you probably already have in your pantry and fridge at home.
