Edmonton is a hungry town, so we get asked this a lot! While we think of our drinks as part of the culinary arts, Spilt is a 300-square-foot bar with no kitchen, so we don't serve full meals.
You're welcome to bring your own food or have something delivered right to the bar. Pizza from fn’za down the block is a popular choice!
-
Absolutely! Spilt is a small space built around grown-up music, conversation and beverages, so it isn't really set up for kids to run around or for parent meet-ups where little ones are playing together.
But if you're bringing your smaller human along for a special date, we'd be delighted to be part of your outing. Just keep in mind that we’d prefer all guests under the age of 14 are supervised by an accompanying adult.

Spilt is a grand total of 300 square feet. It's a cozy space that can seat 12 people and fit around 16 folks including standing room. In the summer months we have an additional six outdoor seats. If you’re looking to book for a larger gathering, consider having Spilt come to you with our catering option!

All of our drinks are considered mocktails, and you will not feel any effects from them. However, some zero-proof wines, beers and spirits contain trace amounts of alcohol (less than 0.5% ABV), as do the small amounts of bitters we use in some drinks. These products contain roughly the same or less alcohol than you’d find naturally in foods like ripe bananas, soy sauce, fruit juices or sourdough bread.
If you prefer to avoid these products entirely, just let us know when you order and we’ll be happy to make sure your drink contains no bitters or low-ABV products.

Our patio is cozy, having only three small tables, so doggos need to be leashed up and attentively parented at all times, but by all means bring them by next time you’re out walking the promenade. We will be happy to come out and serve you on the patio, and will have lots of pats, treats and fresh water ready for your four-legged friends.

We get it. “Mocktail” has had a pejorative connotation for ages, describing a drink for kids or a substitute for “the real thing.”
But it’s also the word that makes the most sense to the most people—including many of our customers who aren’t familiar or comfortable with traditional cocktail culture, or with the alcohol-adjacent terminology and products that come with it.
Call it a zero-proof cocktail, an “unleaded” beverage, a mocktail... call it whatever you want. We really don't mind. All levels of drinking experience are welcome at Spilt.
